Pigeons with Hydrangeas in Sydney
ZHI-YONG HU
This is a beautiful large painting on rice paper.
Frame is 33 inches x 25 inches.
I bought this from the artist, ZHI-YONG HU, in 1987 (March 11th) just before he and his fellow artist, JIA-KUAN YAN returned to China, after a three month visit as artists- in- residence at the Darling Downs Institute of Advanced Education in Toowoomba, now known as The University of Southern Queensland. They were tutors at The McGregor Summer School, which is quite an annual event at the University, with tutors and students attending from all over the world.
The artist told me he painted this on a visit to Sydney over the Christmas holidays of 1986.
Photo 2 shows ZHI-YONG HU's seal.
Photo 3 shows close up detail
of the pigeons heads.
