ANCHOR DOOR KNOCKER

This nicely made little (5¼inch) knocker is not very old but I couldn't resist it when I saw the very low price in a nearby junk shop.

Not being a nautical person, I put it on eBay and found it caused more interest than I could have ever imagined.

It attracted twelve bids, and I sent it to America.
