PORCELAIN
I have seldom collected porcelain but have had a few unusual examples over the years. These were mainly Asian.
I never tried to vie with my late brother, Dr. Bernard Watney, when it came to English porcelain.
I have handled a few saki (or sake) cups and tea cups which have had a lithophane base depicting a beautiful Geisha girl.
I was able to buy these quite cheaply because either the seller did not know what they were, or thought they had little value. These cups realise between $AUD25 and $AUD40 each cup.
Below is a photo of a tea cup.
