The following was written  about 10 years ago when we had settled into our 40 acre property with our cosy cottage which we renovated.

On the Darling Downs when storms and thunder fill the evening air;
Where the rainbow ends come join me and a pot of gold we'll share.
So many rainbows seem to end just within our boundary fence:
The gold and riches we could both share must really be immense.

But, then again, everyday we share riches more than gold:
Riches of health, of love, of peace and so many more untold.
We would never swap our way of life for gold, dollars or cents,
It's marvellous what we find sometimes inside our boundary fence !
